Step 1. Warming up

1. See some pictures of LA.

2. Ask and answer in pairs.

  What are you going to do in LA?

      How long will you stay in LA？

让学生欣赏洛杉机的风光的同时复习Unit one的知识。这一步营造了轻松的学习氛围，并为下一步做好了铺垫。

 

Step 2. Presentation

T：LA is very beautiful. If you want to stay four or six months, I think you’d better take part in Summer English courses.

Learn some new words.

Match the words or phrases.

4  Show some pictures，say what you can see.

 

由师生对话很自然地引出生词，课文内容，通过讨论图片导入新课，这样不仅可以激活学生头脑中已有的相关情节，还可以熟悉一些词汇，为下一步阅读做好准备。

 

Step 3. Reading

    1. Read the whole text quickly and choose the best answer.

2. Check the answer.

3. Read carefully and slowly, then match the titles with the paragraphs.

4. Check the answer.

5. Listen and repeat.

6. Explain the words, expressions and the passage in details if necessary.
