Unit 1 What is a wonder of the world?
课型:听说课
一.教学目标:
1. 熟练掌握本单元的语言点。
2.能够听懂并掌握本课的对话。
二.课前准备:
1. 课前朗读  自学并熟读本课的词汇。
2. 探讨问题:根据自己的实际情况,完成练习5 answer the questions.
1) What was your last composition about?
2) What is the most ancient Chinese wonder of the world?
3) What bands or movies would you like to write a review?
4)What was your best grade in English last year?
5) What clubs do you go to or would you like to go to ?
3.   每日播报:让学生讨论 What is a wonder of the world?并发表自己的观点。
三.课堂活动
导入:In the summer holiday , I had a visit to Beijing , I climbed up the Great Wall, it is wonderful, I think it is a wonder of china and the world。Do you think so?
听力训练
1. Listen to the tape and pay attention to the words in the box, then talk about the picture by using these words.

2. listen to the tape and finish Task 2.
3. Listen to the dialogue twice and try to find out the answers to Task 4,and then talk about them in pairs.

语言点导学
1)happen的用法
  A.sth + happened + 地点|时间 意为“某地|某时发生了什么事”。
  B. happen to sb  意为“某人发生了什么事”
  C. happen to do sth 意为“ 某人碰巧做了某事”。
2)on 与 about的区别    都是“关于”的意思,on 主要修饰学术性的,专门的,正式论述的文章、书籍等;而about所指的内容较普通。
例如: a book on history  关于历史的书
       a composition about the school concert
3) else 与 other 的区别与练习
  else 与other是近义词,是“另外的,其他的”二者之间可以转换,但else只能修饰不定代词和疑问词,且必须后置; other后可跟名词复数,相当于others。
例如: What other things can you see ? --------同义句
        What others can you see?
        What else can you see?
4) how to get good grades.  疑问词加不定式,在此做介词on的宾语,“疑问词+to do”结构中的“疑问词”包括疑问代词what,which, who, whom ;疑问副词when , where, how 以及连词whether。在这些词的后面加上不定式 to do 构成一个固定结构,相当于一个名词。
例如:Do you know how to cook fish?
